My first time abroad Day 1 and 2

For my family and friends - Here is a semi-interesting blog of my travels while I'm abroad. Just trying to keep you up-to-date!

Stockholm, Sweden -

Stockholm has been an amazing experience so far. This is probably because I am touring everything with the best! Pehr and Linnea have been such gracious and awesome hosts.

My first few hours in Sweden were a breeze. Pehr and Linnea told me exactly where to go and what to do then the moment I stepped off the bus they were there! The underground system here is really clean and pretty efficient (well for our purposes). Pehr made this great stew and I had some excellent bread with it. Then later we toured a few parts of Stockholm including their city hall. Later we met up with Linnea's brother, his name is a swedish sounding Patrick. We ate in this big park where there were tons of people gathered grilling, playing games and drinking. Apparently, it's the only park here that you can drink at so everyone really likes it. I have to compliment Pehr on his grilling ability. Normally I don't like chicken but it was excellent!

I think I'm adjusting just fine and have very little jet lag. Word to the wise bring melatonin tablets with you. I think they have really helped!

Today we taveled through Old Town and then a historical park and zoo, Skansen. Around the 60's or 70's  they moved all these really historical buildings to this park. Many of them are so intact. It's crazy how different "old" is here compared to MN and SD. We also saw the changing of the guard at the palace which was pretty cool because of their dress and band.

It's been great here so far!

Mom-I've been practicing carrying my bag right so I don't get robbed!! So don't worry!

Love you!
